Home of Alberta Prairie Steam Tours. Explore the scenic countryside via round-trip day excursions on a vintage train powered by a 1920 steam locomotive. All trips depart from Stettler to selected destinations on a 304 km (190 mi) route. Tours are four to eight hours, and include on-board entertainment and roast beef buffet served at the destination. Choices include country dinners, murder mysteries, Teddy Bear Specials and Dinner Theatre, May 16 to Oct 31. Call 742-2811 for times and reservations. The Town & Country Museum is a historic village of 11 buildings including a general store, church and courthouse.
